Residential Electric Vehicle Charger Installations in Milford, OH
About the 2023 ev charger tax credit
The EV charger tax credit has been extended until December 31, 2032. If you install a home EV charger, you can get a 30% tax credit up to $1,000. Businesses can also get up to a 30% tax credit for EV charger installation but must meet specific requirements. The limit for the tax credit for businesses completing the project after 2022 is up to $100,000 per EV charger. While EV chargers are not entirely tax deductible, you may still benefit from the Inflation Reduction Act tax incentives for refueling property.
We make home charging easy! Our customers love our residential EV chargers because they are powerful, versatile, and cost-efficient. With full compatibility for all-electric vehicles and applicable charging standards plus easy-to-use, comfort functions such as delayed and planned charging ensure a high degree of customer convenience.
DID YOU KNOW...
EV chargers will represent 40% of the vehicles on the road by 2030? Currently, EV chargers can be broken down into 2 residential categories: Level 1 and Level 2
Level 1 chargers operate at 120V and are commonly provided with the EV itself. These chargers often remain onboard the vehicle and can serve almost like a “portable gas can” that provides the ability to charge the vehicle in a pinch. While Level 1 chargers certainly can be utilized within the home, it is more common for EV owners to have a Level 2 charger permanently integrated into their residence. Level 2 chargers operate seven to eight times faster than Level 1 chargers and can supply a full charge to an EV overnight.
WHY YOU SHOULD UPGRADE YOUR EV CHARGER
On the outside, there’s not much difference between an electric and a gas-powered vehicle. They all take us from one place to another, travel at similar speeds, and give us room to transport passengers.
The biggest difference between the two is how their engines are powered; one uses combustible fuel and the other is powered by batteries charged with electricity. While electricity is much cheaper than gasoline, gas stations are everywhere while charging stations are still few and far between. Although the charging landscape is changing and charging stations are popping up in more places, charging an EV takes much longer than filling a gas tank.
If you’re thinking about purchasing or already own an EV, upgrading your home charging station from level 1 to level 2 is a great investment. Not only will it allow you to charge your vehicle faster, but it will save you from the hassle of searching for a place to refuel.
